“While a bottle of wine is an easy gift to give, it’s often troublesome to wrap.” – Martha Stewart 1996.
In April 2014, a customer came to us with this same frustration. She wanted a better way to gift wine – traditional wine bags all feel generic and allow even the most expensive, most thoughtfully chosen bottle to move around freely. She asked for our help.
Since we had our own drawers full of not-so-beautiful and a-little-bit-crumpled wine gift bags that we knew we would never use, we were happy to oblige. After all, there are billions of bottles of wine gifted annually in the United States. Surely we can move past the ubiquitous wine gift bag to something a little sleeker and more innovative?
Thus, our (patent pending) Bottle Wrap was born.
With a few simple steps, you have a gift presentation worthy of both your carefully selected bottle and your inviting host.
We all know that nine times out of ten we are picking up the packaging for a gift on our way out of the liquor store where we’ve bought the wine.* But it doesn’t have to look that way.
The Bottle Wrap met with great feedback and opened the door to some fantastic retail partnerships. Now, it’s the cornerstone of a quickly expanding product line unified by this theme: let’s make the gifting of wine and spirits a little more inspired and sophisticated, shall we?
And while we’re at it, let’s make it more sustainable. Our products are printed on recycled content paper, use vegetable ink, and are compostable. What does this mean for you, our consumer? It means you can feel great about using our paper to make gifts look good.
To Ms. Stewart, we respectfully suggest: “Problem solved."
*And for those of you who plan ahead, cheers! We’ve got variety multi-packs that you can keep on hand the next time you’re invited to a soiree.
